I did a quick google about this coffee shop and check the menu via zomato apps and it was so interesting. Edition Coffee Roaster changes the menu periodically and of course I can't find the menu which I googled earlier but I didn't have to worry because their menu at that moment even more interesting. This place served a very unique Scandinavian - Japanese fusion food. Yes you read it right Scandinavian - Japanese fusion or I might say Nordic - Japanese food. The interior is minimalist with a touch of beehive / hexagonal shape tiles on the counter.
Me and my friends ordered Yuzu kosho skagen, Sakasama Yakuza Poached pineapple hotcake, Smoked pineapple ocean jacket with udon and Kuro Ushi. I was not familiar with the name of the menu at all which made me become more and more curious.
Yuzu kosho skagen is basically a light meal, a mixture of Japanese pepper prawns, apple, potato and radish on the topped of Rye crips. Sakasama Yakuza poached pineapple hotcake or you just order "Pineapple hotcake" the staff will directly knew it. It a hot type dessert which has Espresso mousse and blackberry powder on the top of generous size of pineapple hotcake.
My meal was udon noodles with pan fried ocean jacket, smoked pineapple dashi and Japanese herb salad. I really like the pan fried ocean jacket, I like the smokey flavor on it, it feels like I want to order another ocean jacket alone. The last one was Kuro Ushi, if you just read the menu with out notice the ingredient right under the menu, I don't think you will guess it is a burger, yess it was a burger anything but ordinary burger. It was a Black Angus steak with miso onions, konbu mushroom gravy, american cheese with milk bun. The portion is quite big and a perfect choice for lunch, yup I will only recommend you to order this one if you are really hungry, because our another orders were quite lack in size.
Overall, I really enjoy my time at Edition Coffee Roaster, well except for the price (it was too pricey) and the meal size. But still, I can not wait for another unique meal on the menu or maybe they already prepare a list of new menu for next season?
